If you have been regretting the fact that you never had braces as an adolescent, we have great news for you. Today more and more adults are getting orthodontic treatment to straighten their smiles. They have their teeth straightened using the Stoughton Invisalign system of invisible braces.
At our practice, Stoughton Dentistry/Reddy we offer treatment with Stoughton Invisalign. Our expert dentists are Dr. Mahesh Sajjupalli, Dr. George Mark, Dr. Judith Goldstein and Dr. Todd Pizzi. Our patients enjoy having their teeth straightened using the Invisalign tooth straightening system because treatment is discreet; other people are not able to see that you are wearing the Invisalign invisible braces. Invisalign is actually a series of clear plastic aligners that are made for your particular smile situation. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks. Treatment occurs by wearing each aligner in the sequence; when you have reached the end of the series you have your beautiful new smile. The Invisalign system uses advanced 3-D computer graphics technology to help create your personalized aligners. The aligners move your teeth slowly until they reach the desired position. Your current smile will first be analyzed to see if Invisalign will work for you. The sequence of aligners can contain as few as 12 or as many as 48 – it all depends on your individual smile needs.
Treatment with Stoughton Invisalign takes about the same amount of time as does treatment using traditional metal braces. However there are many additional benefits to Invisalign. First of all, the aligners are much more comfortable to wear than regular braces as you mouth is not irritated by metal wires or brackets. The aligners are quite comfortable. However, you will feel a little bit of pressure on some teeth the first day or two that each aligner is worn. This means that your teeth are being moved and the aligners are working to create your beautiful new smile. The aligners are worn for about 23 hours a day but they are removed for eating and to brush and floss your teeth. This means that you can eat just about anything you want during treatment. And that when you finish treatment your teeth will be as white and bright as the day you started Invisalign treatment.
