Randolph dentist
Preventive dental care is very important for maintaining the health of your teeth and gums. At our dental practice, Stoughton Dentistry/Reddy, our
Randolph dentist can provide you with comprehensive dental exams, and you can receive dental cleanings as part of your preventive dental care.
When you visit our dental practice, you will be seen by one of our expert dentists, just one of whom is Dr. Mahesh Sajjupalli. Dental exams are an important part of preventive dental care, and it is usually recommended that you have one every six months. During your dental exam, the health of your entire mouth will be assessed. Our Randolph dentist will make sure that your teeth are not developing any problems, that your gums are healthy, that you do not have any signs of oral cancer, and that you are not having any problems related to teeth grinding or TMJ. Dental exams are quite cost-effective because it is much easier to treat a dental problem while it is still small. For example, if our dentist finds that you have gingivitis, a common precursor to gum disease, all you will need to have are several regular dental cleanings to have your gums return to good health. However, once a patient develops gum disease, they will need to have a periodontal scaling and root planing treatment, and may even need gum surgery to reduce the pocket depths. As part of our preventive dental care, we also encourage patients to have biannual dental cleanings. These regular dental cleanings are very effective in helping to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. All plaque and tartar is removed from on the teeth, from between the teeth, and from just below the gum line. Having regular dental cleanings should keep your gums healthy, and keep dental cavities to a true minimum. We also offer fluoride treatments to strengthen tooth enamel, and dental sealants for children to protect the flat chewing surfaces of their pre-molars and molars.
